About Atelier Birch

Atelier Birch, founded and owned by Christina Birch, is the venture of a freelance Danish photographer based in Copenhagen.

Over the years, I have specialized in capturing portraits, interior and exterior settings, lifestyle scenes, as well as food and travel photography. My work has been featured in various international interior magazines, collaborating with a diverse range of exceptionally talented designers.

The fine art prints available in my webshop showcase photos taken during my extensive travels or selected from various art projects.

My journey in photography commenced with analog methods, where I spent countless hours in the darkroom, experimenting and developing black and white films. This early experience ignited my passion for exploring the nuances of photographic media, a curiosity that has persisted. While transitioning to digital photography years ago, I still relish the occasional use of my pinhole camera or Rolleiflex, as the unpredictable outcomes stand in stark contrast to the controlled nature of digital photography.
